Add to basketHardcover w/ Jacket. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. This 5.625 x 8.25 inch, 197 page hardcover book with dust wrapper is the first edition of this title as shown by the 1929 date on the title page matching that date on the copyright page. The book itself is in near fine condition with just a touch of corner wear on the two bottom corners. The decorative paper-over-tan cloth show very little time or handling wear with the front and back panel multi-colored design with white lettering, and the black lettering on the spine, all in near fine condition. The interior text pages are in fine condition with the pages unmarked and clean, and the corners crisp and sharp. The dust jacket of heavy paper is in very good condition showing moderate wear at the folds and with just a bit of chipping and paper loss at the top and bottom of the folds. The coloration on the jacket is bright and clean. The text itself features a wonderful array of Boy Scout tradition, uniform and equipment, and ceremony from that time - - along with numerous illustrations suggesting the deepest Boy Scout roots in the story of Christianity, the knights of Europe, and the untamed native peoples of North America. The book features a fold-out centerpiece charting the official Boy Scout badges and insignia. A great collectible from the Boy Scout of America. 197 pages.
