Tegelijkertijd is het ook wel begrijpelijk dat een journaallezer W?sterbork in plaats van Westerb?rk zegt, want het is simpelweg onmogelijk om van alle plaatsen in Nederland te weten waar de klemtoon li…gt.Voor wat betreft plaatsnamen in het Drents en in het Gronings is de kwestie niet anders. Een inwoner van Ekehaar zal de eigen plaatsnaam misschien Ieghaor noemen, maar voor iemand uit Gieten zal het antwoord eerder Ekehaor zijn. En je woont op Fluitenbarg, maar hoe moet iemand uit bijvoorbeeld Veendam dat weten? In dit boekje worden plaatsnamen in Drenthe en Groningen behandeld die in het onderzoeksproject Vraag&Antwoord naar voren kwamen.Via een digitale enqu?te is door 830 sprekers van het Drents en 1068 sprekers van het Gronings geantwoord op allerlei taalvragen, waaronder die naar de eigen woonplaats en enkele omliggende plaatsen in de streektaal. En zeggen de deelnemers in of op? Hoe worden de bewoners genoemd? Dat leverde een enorme verzameling aan gegevens op, genoeg materiaal om zelfs een hele serie boeken over te schrijven.Het is een dubbelboek: aan de ene kant de Drentse plaatsnamen, aan de andere kant de Groninger plaatsnamen.
