Hardcover. Condition: Very Good Minus. Apparent First Edition (NAP. You can see the white covers in the photos. They are quite clean, only a few small light spots. The edges and corners are in very good shape. There is a thin crease just off the bottom edge of the spine. It continues a bit on to the front cover just above the bottom edge. The page edges look clean. However the previous owner penned his or her name at the top page edge (V Green). The book is square and the spine is straight. The binding is very solid from cover to cover. I'm not seeing any cracks or spaces between any of the facing pages. The covers are nicely tight. The front inside cover and end paper form a map. There are three penned names of places added to the map. V Green is also penned at the top right hand corner. There isn't any other writing to be found anywhere in the book. The rear cover and rear inside cover also have a picture of a map, however no cities or anything else is referenced. The pages are very clean. I have scrolled through them a number of times without finding any instances of soiling. They are also nicely bright. Two early pages have a thin crease off their top edge. There are also around 25 consecutive pages with a small crease at their top corner. There are no markings in the book and there are no attachments. The introduction states simply that the aim of the book is 'to inform the Voltaics as well as foreigners on the national achievements after 10 years of independence. It is a synthesis of national efforts in various branches of the State's activities.' There are many photographs, the majority of them are in color. They are all in very good condition. The West African country is now known as Burkina Faso.
