Roughly A4 in size, this wonderful book is a hardback, cloth bound, with gilt titles to spine and front board, along with beautiful designed gilt decoration. This book is a used book therefore normal wear, marks and tear apply consistent with age and use. No published date within the book, probably around 1921. Its a reasonably heavy book when packaged properly, so for overseas buyers postage/shipping may increase from listed price depending on final destination. 184 pages, all intact and 12 x Stunning illustrations. Printed in Great Britain by T. and A. Constable Ltd, at the Edinburgh University Press. The top part of the spine looks like it was crushed at some time with small wear, also the spine is sun-bleached, please see photos, there are a few brown foxing marks to edge of papers, and illustrations are all in fine order, and all illustrations have their tissue guard papers intact. Overall its a really nice book that has stood the test of time and still has plenty of valuable use to be had for future generations that are interested in insects. E.J. DETMOLD (illustrator). …
