Belonging To The Period Of The Reformation In The Sixteenth Century Beautifully bound in full black leather with embossed floral detail and giltruled borders to the front and rear boards The spine has gilt ruled lines and embossed detail in between five slightly raised bands The leather is very lightly rubbed and worn although in good condition with the gilt still fairly bright All edges of the text block and endpapers are marbled Internally the binding is still fairly tight despite slight cracking to the internal hinge Previous owners inscription in blue to the verso of the frontispiece Pages are slightly toned with the occasional spot of foxing otherwise clean and beautifully illustrated pp xvi 718 Overall a lovely booknbsp. book.
