Hinges cracked but rest of text block is clean and solid. A good reading copy. Illustrated with Black and White Photographs. 480pages. Reprint of the 1911 Second edition.

Covers & Spine: both front and back boards showing some minor scuffing with some minor wear along the edges and corners, spine is intact with bumping at ends. Binding: both hinges are cracked but still holding, rest of the book is firm and solid. Pages & Markings: unstained, only markings are some pencil underlinings on a few pages by previous owner & his/her signature on inside front board, otherwise clean throughout. Dust Jacket is missing (fairly sure it never had one). Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. First Edition. Complete with all plates. Publication of 213 pages. There is gilt on the spine and on the front cover, with a flower decoration. Frontispiece. The boards are a little shelf rubbed and a touch edge worn.There are old tape residue marks on the edge of the title page. On the back inner board the netting is visible. Internally the pages are clean and complete. The text is legible. The binding is excellent. In good condition considering the age of the book (1899). GK.
