This Society was established in the year 1859, at Ilam,in the County of Stafford, for the purpose of collecting amateur Drawings in pen and ink. The sketches are intended to illustrate the topography of Great Britain and Ireland, the scenery, churches, manor-houses, and monastic ruins of the land. An annual publication.

A scarce early issue by the Anastasic Drawing Society published in 1861, the society sought to 'delineate remains of Antiquity' through drawings. (spine strip removed/missing, heavy wear and rubbing to outer boards, inner hinges cracking, light toning to page edges).
