Condition: Good. 1903. 100 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with gilt lettering. Pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with light foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Tanning to spine and edges.

No Binding. Condition: Very Good. Engraved By Blood (illustrator). This is an attractive copper stipple engraved portrait of very high quality ca 1821 mounted and ready to frame. This is an excellent opportunity to purchase a portrait of this eminent personage.

Parry - sometime associate of Coleridge - dated 1807 (First line, "Fair shines the autumnal sun, and freshly blows"), which seems to have made its sole appearance here. §British Isles copies at BL, Cambridge, Wellcome, & Manchester Public Libraries. Original cloth-backed boards, with printed paper label to spine, top edge rough, others untrimmed. Later paper corners, old 1 inch paper repair to centre of title. partial loss to spine, paper label soiled, front hinge cracked but sound & held by internal modern paper repair. In all other respects a good sound copy, preserved in removable wraparound stiff plastic wrapper.

Original card boards woth pasted label to the cover. The gutta-percha spine binding has weakened and a later strip of binding tape has strengthened the spine externally. The beautiful plates are by C. Hullmandel and are all fine with just minor blemishes to some of the margins.
