Hardcover. Condition: Good. The book is in good condition with some visible defects. The boards have modest rubbing with a little wear at the edges and corners, a little more pronounced at the spine end corners. Full leather boards and spine. Spine gilt is pretty much faded, front cover gilt still pretty good. Gutter split at th…e dedication page, contents page is loose but present, first few pages have a little chipping and wrinkling mostly near the foredge. I found just a few pencil notes throughout, not many. The book is solid and pretty tight for 1880. About 15 pages or so of advertising at the back. ; Vol. 1.
