Scarce copy of this volume of "Versions of Justin, Cornelius Nepos, and Tureopius" and their history of ancient Rome. Cornelius Nepos (c. 100 BC - c. 25 BC) was a Roman biographer; Flavius Eutropius was an Ancient Roman historian who flourished in the latter half of the 4th century; and Justin was a Christian martyr and historian. Curiously the bottom of sp. has 'Freethought Publishing Company' as publisher, rather than Blackwood as on t.p.

Dark cloth overs exceptionally bright clean and unworn with gilt lettering and publisher's monogram centre front, only flaw is a small nick to top spine edge.An interesting if anecdotal and somewhat anthropomorphic compendium of evidence. 'Strict observation of justice among themselves is maintained by the dogs of Constantinople.'. As an added bonus I have left a slipped in early jocular rhyming mock-rustic letter in pencil, obviously from a schoolboy to a friend, with a humorous drawing, this has nothing to do with animal reasoning whatsoever.
