Pages: clean and tight; minor darkening/smudging to all edges; front hinge beginning to separate at top, lacks ffep. Cover: red-brown cloth with black and gilt artwork and lettering to cover and spine, and impressed artwork to back; corners bumped and moderately worn; spine edges bumped; color loss to three 1/2"-1" areas on back. Owner, Thomas Moore has signed name and date of 1885 on ep and name on rear fep. Inside is a small card dated 1885 with Mr. Moore's name from the Wesleyan-Methodist Society (est. 1739); it is a quarterly ticket, and includes scripture quote. The book is part of the War & Lock Knowledge series. It is a very nice copy.
