    Hardcover. 1st Edition. 270p. A red cloth hardcover book in good condition. Cloth soiled and spotted with small ink and a water stains. Head and foot of spine worn down, and the spine itself is darkened. Two tiny worn-through spots along the outer hinge joining the spine and front cover. The front endpaper is splitting along the gutter, but the hinge itself is holding and the binding is secure for normal handling. Old owner's inscription in front, dated 1895. Light foxing on some pages, but text unmarked. A scarce account of Protestant missionary work among the Native Americans of the Pacific Northwest. Illustrated with occasional black and white plates.
