VG+ original full leather, intricate carved & gilt design to front & rear boards, gilt titles to spine, all edges gilt, moderate shelf wear, former owner's name on presentation page, a little light foxing within, else internally near fine, list of former owner's relatives with birth-dates on rear end-papers, illustrated with numerous monochrome plates, and a large fold-out illustration of Christ blessing the children. Compiled by Osmond Tiffany from Fleetwood's "Life of Christ", Cave's "Lives of the Apostles", and other eminent writers, to which is added an account of the explorations & discoveries in Jerusalem and the Holy Land by Rev. J.W. Harding, and an index arranged by Rev. William Manche. Scarce.
