Provincial Glossary: iv, 124pp. A clean copy with no previous owners' markings or inscriptions. Marbled foredge has very slightly bled onto outer margin of some pages and outer edge of folding Plan of the Castle but doesn't affect text or images. Some light wear and rubbing to spine with slight loss at top and fading to gilt(please see photos). Corners slightly scuffed and top corner of upper board lightly bumped. WM. KING, Rouge Dragon, College of Arms, 17th.… March 1846. Perhaps he is also the writer of the marginal heraldic devices. LACKING plates 2 and 8. Contemporary calf with later rebacking, corners worn, book-plate of H. MARTYN MOWLL.
