Finely bound in contemporary full polished calf, the back intricately tooled in gilt with black morocco label gilt, end papers and page edges marbled, Near Fine, slight rubs to calf, shadow of engraving to title page. " With numerous additions from the copy prepared by the author for republication: to which is annexed his letter to John Dunning, esq. Rev. and cor., with additional notes, by Richard Taylor." A quite handsome copy of this rather uncommon edition of Tooke's great philological work.
