Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 4th Edition. Three books in total, Volumes I-III. A NATURAL HISTORY OF THE NEST AND EGGS OF BRITISH BIRDS. Fourth Edition, published by John C. Nimmo Ltd, London dated 1896, revised and corrected by W.B. Tegetmeier. All three hardback books are bound in a brown cloth, probably the original publisher's binding all decorated on each front board with a gorgeous gilt birds nest full of eggs, with spines of each book decorated with gilt titles. These wonderful books are in very good condition and as they are used books, normal wear, marks and tear apply consistent with age and use. Two hundred and forty-eight hand coloured plates are all in nice clean, very good order. Volume I: 177 pages, Volume II: 155 pages and Volume III: 207 pages. All hand cut pages are intact, edge to papers slightly discoloured only to be expected for books that are over 130 years old. Nice tight bindings. Please note when packaged properly these three books will weigh a considerable amount of weight, therefore for overseas buyers, postage/shipping may increase from listed price depending on final destination. A truly lovely collection of three books, that have been treasured over the years, and now for sale to a new owner, that I'm sure will also treasure these books for future generation to come. All three volumes would grace any stylish library.
