Various (illustrator). If I may be so presumptious, some of you will have understood that I spent a good deal of my life traveling the world (doing development business for the U.S. Government and the United Nations), and hence my fascination with travel books. Here's another (and there will be more!): "Wings Over Asia- A Geographic Journey by Airplane" by Lowell Thomas and Rexford W. Barton. Lots of detail here as the two intrepid travelers make their way through Eastern Asia, flying down the Aleutian Chain and winding up after a tour through the Himalaya in Sumatra (please see the route map that decorates the endpapers). I offer a photo of the Table of Contents and of the List of Illustrations for your further information. Surprisingly, I was surprised to find a mistake/error/whatever on the front cover where the image of the airplane is that of a DC-3 while the trip was made in the "Adventurer", a PBY! Condition: This book is in very good condition although it is an ex-library copy with the usual markings (but no number on the spine) some of which were rudely removed. The boards are dust-dulled and rubbed but still attractive (if you can get over the mistaken aircraft image?) and slightly bumped. The interior pages and photos are clean and bright throughout, without toning or foxing. Both hinges are intact and the binding is tight and sound.
