Fauna Boreali-Americana; or the Zoology of the Northern Parts of British America: Containing description of the objects of natural history collected on the late northern land expeditions under command of Captain Sir John Franklin, R.N. Part Second, The Birds. Illustrated with fifty color plates (Nos. 24 -73) by Swainson. John Richardson, surgeon and naturalist to the expeditions, contributed the introduction and much of text describing the species.
