III: Attractively bound, very good original brown cloth pictorial boards, gilt lettering to the front and spine, very good clean and bright condition, the decoration to the boards is back with gilt highlights, there is a super gilt crocodile to the front, some edge wear, a little fraying to top and bottom of the spine, corners bowed, plain endpapers, no publication details, the books opens with a tissue protected full page coloured engraving 'Ismailia on the Suez Canal, ' this is followed by a series of 4 coloured portraits, after which is a full page black and white engraving ' the Slave Market Zanzibar, this illustration is labelled Part XI, on the reverse side the text begins with at page 482 mid sentence, pagintation 482-720 pages, page 720 finishes mid-sentence. The text is set out in double columns, it is clean and easy to read, there are many black and white illustrations some full page and some within the text. 10.5 x 7.75 inches approx. A very smart and fascinating book. Ideal for collectors especially if those who possess other volumes from the set, intersting for students and historians. .
