Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Offering: Rick Weitz. Alley Cat. Glenn Burnie, MD: Casanova Publishing Co., 1967. Near-near fine in illustrated wraps, as published. (Is near-near fine even a thing?) Two tiny chips at the top and bottom of the spine. This is an unread copy. Paperback sleaze has never looked so sharp! Alley Cat by Rick Weitz (Casanova Publishing, LL 211) is a mid-century pulp explosion, complete with garish painted cover art, suggestive title, and promises of "adult reading" that once filled spinner racks in gas stations and dime stores. This one's got the hallmarks of the genre: garter-grabbing gangsters, wide-eyed damsels, and sweaty moral panic in paperback form. As vintage pulp gains traction with collectors and designers alike both for its outsider art appeal and its raw, unfiltered storytelling copies in this kind of condition are increasingly scarce. These books were usually read to death. ;) A killer piece for any sleazy pulpy vintage smut collector, cause let's face it -- you're a sleaze, too.
