Baukunst`, a photographic album of Egypt by two German Egyptologists Ludwig Borchardt (1863-1938) and Herbert Rüdiger Ricke (1901-1976). 310x240mm. XXVIII text pages & 272 b&w full-page plates. Maroon cloth Hardcover with gilt front cover and spine, laid in brown board slipcase. Slipcase edges tattered, spine cracked and partly missing at edges. Cover bottom corners slightly rubbed. Spine edges slightly bumped. Page 13/13 creased, edge slightly torn (7&20mm) (plate only slightly creased at bottom corner). Page 217/218 torn). Pages yellowing. This extremely rare photo album of Egypt by two eminent scholars of its history, culture and architecture is otherwise in good condition. The book is in : Italian.
