This award winning television production was directed by Mick Jackson and starred Jack Lemmon and Hank Azaria. The film is based on the autobiographical book by Mitch Albom and is the portrayal of his relationship with Morrie Schwartz, a former college professor of his, whom he learns is dying of Lou GehrigÕs disease, reconnects with, and in turn, rediscovers what matters most in life. The movie won several EmmyÕs, including Outstanding Made for Television Movie, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie (Jack Lemmon), Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie (Hank Azaria), and Outstanding Single Camera Picture Editing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special. It was also nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Miniseries or a Movie.
