Handsomely bound in full limp polished red calf with rules in gilt and blind to boards and vertical titles and horizontal rules in gilt to spine. Endpapers marbled; armorial bookplate of T. Y. Coolidge Jr mounted to front pastedown. Thackeray contributed ''Stubbs's Calendar; or, The Fatal Boots'' to this issue which is illustrated with 12 full page engravings for the months of the year by Cruikshank along with a good many in-text woodcuts.
