Hardcover. Condition: Very Good+. First Edition. Contemporary binding, 3/4 leather over marbled boards. Spine has raised bands and gilt title. Interior of text is tight, clean & intact. Eleven foldout illustrations: Estimate of cost, tables, estimate of locks, stone culverts and masonary work. Canal Commissioners John Dickey, E. F. Penny, Packer, Thaddaeus and Stevens.
