Der Einbandvorderdeckel mit goldgeprägten Initialen A.H.P.Z. Sowie der Jahreszahl 1697 ( analog dem Erscheinungsjahr ). Einband stark fleckig, stark berieben, Ecken und Kanten teils stark bestoßen, der schmale Einbandrücken zangeplatzt, der Vorderdeckel knitterfaltig. Innen fehlt wie erwähnt das Frontispizkupfer sowie das eigentliche Titelblatt sowie etwaige Vorsatzblätter. Die Einbanddeckel innen mit Notizen und Berechnungen von sehr alter Hand, die ersten 2 n.n. Blätter mit stärkeren Randläsionen ( ohne Text- oder Buchstabenverlust ), Seiten teils mit Randnotizen von sehr alter Hand, Seiten teils etwas stockfleckig oder fingerfleckig, teils auch gering braunfleckig. Papier teils gebräunt, wenige Seiten angeknickt, erste und letzte Blätter stärker angeknickt bzw. eselsohrig. - außerordentlich selten - ( Gewicht 1600 Gramm )( Lagerort Reli-Schrank ) ( Weitere Bilder auf Anfrage erhältlich ) /// Binding heavily stained, heavily rubbed, corners and edges heavily bumped in places, the narrow spine of the binding chipped, the front cover creased. Inside, as mentioned, the frontispiece copper as well as the actual title page and any endpapers are missing. The inside covers with notes and calculations in a very old hand, the first 2 leaves n.d. with heavier marginal lesions (without loss of text or letters), some pages with marginal notes in a very old hand, some pages somewhat foxed or fingerstained, some also slightly brownstained. The printed text, about the size of a 12mo (125 x 70 mm), has been inserted in a paper-frame of better paper (180 x 130 mm), making it the size of a 4to. This has presumable been done immediately or shortly after the printing and is not to be considered as a repair. Extremities with a few spots and light soiling, internally very nice and clean. (4), 194, (18) pp. Interestingly printed later edition of Rivinus? work in which he explains in greater detail the principles and guidelines of preaching originally formulated by Johann Benedict Carpzov.
