Add to basketOriginal Cloth. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. The boards have very slight edge wear but are otherwise clean and unmarked. Very slight browning to the page edges with dark marking to the bottom corners and one small stain to the bottom edges. The book is from the collection of Anthony Edwards, Life Fellow of Gonville & Caius College and retired Professor of Biometry at the University of Cambridge and was part of his collection of Cambridge books which was a reflection of his keen and active interest in the governance of the Collegiate University. Laid in is a copy of a Keepsake from Heffers in their Centenary Year (1976) on which Prof. Edwards has written 'Given to me by Philip Grierson' and signed below this. The picture on the keepsake is a duplicate of the frontispiece of the book to which Prof. Grierson contributed the six page entry relating to Gonville & Caius College, the College in which he was a Life Fellow. The pages are clean and unmarked. No jacket. First printing. Very heavy item so there will be a significant additional postage charge for overseas orders.
