Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. First. Inez Robb (1900 1979) was an American journalist and war correspondent. During the height of her career, she was a household name and one of the highest paid female reporters by 1938. In 1953, she left her reporting job to write a syndicated column for Scripps-Howard and United Feature Syndicate (UFS). In this role, she began to write more opinion columns. Although she reported on the FBI's role in the murder of a black civil rights activist and issues such as taxation and the economy, she often covered topics such as her husband's support for the Brooklyn Dodgers and women wearing pants in the workplace. Her column was carried by 140 newspapers. This copy is near fine in black cloth with gilt titles on the spine. Slight bumping at the spine ends and slight age toning on the endpapers. The unclipped DJ has slight edge wear and a small chip at the top front jacket corner. No other marks or damage. Inscribed by the author on the ffep. AB24.
