Early signature on title page of George Bird, 1805. Some browning, but good. Richard Bay…field (1630-1690) practiced medicine in Norwich. This work is one of his rarest with a number of discussions on various disease disorders and in particular dealing with psychiatric disorders and disorders of the skin ("tumors"). There are serveral sections on melancholy, disorders of the thymus (hypochrondaisis), on herpes, on lichen, impetigo, leprosy, etc. One section on billious disorders is dedicated to a Sir Thomas Browne.
