Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book explores the thought-provoking world of colors, harnessing the discerning insights of the renowned polymath Robert Boyle. In the 17th century, Boyle devoted himself to studying the relationship between colors and the physical and internal qualities of objects. This book takes readers on an immersive journey through the spectrum, capturing the essence of Boyle's groundbreaking theories. Along the way, it highlights how colors are often not inherent to objects but rather emerge from the complex interactions between light and matter. Boyle's theories challenged long-held beliefs, laying the groundwork for future scientific discoveries. Through a blend of historical context and accessible explanations, this book illuminates the profound insights of an intellectual pioneer, offering readers a captivating glimpse into the nature of color and its significance in the world around us.
