By Robert Fleming the Elder and printed in Glasgow by Robert Smith. 1753, 507 pp, 6.5 x 4 , 12mo, rebound hardcover. In good condition. Nicely rebound, with minor rubbing and wear to exterior. Hinges remain in good condition. Small losses to title page, which is affixed to a modern piece of end paper. Inscriptions to title page, along with one from a previous female owner, nothing that the book was a gift rom her grandmother. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce and nicely rebound piece that served as a supplement to Fulfilling of the Scriptures. Robert Fleming the Elder (1630-1694) was a Scottish Presbyterian minister who lost his position due to his refusal to reject the newly appointed bishops of King Charles II.
