Scarce work. The collected poetry of Sir Alexander Boswell, a Scottish poet, antiquary, and songwriter. He was the son of Samuel Johnson's friend and biographer James Boswell of Auchinleck. With a memoir of the author including reference to his dramatic death following a duel. Collected and edited by Robert Howie Smith. In the original green cloth binding. Externally, sound with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Minor fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot or handling mark. Minor age toning to the endpapers with a contemporary ink stamp to the front endpaper. Very Good. book.
