Full leather. Condition: Very Good +. Wonderful Princeton University photo album, put together by Robert Johnson McClintock '17 (same graduating class as F. Scott Fitzgerald, who left early in his Senior year and never graduated). The album, an oblong quarto, roughly spans McClintock's 4 year tenure (1914-1917) at Princeton and captues the construction of --and earliest football games played at-- Palmer Stadium (1914-1997), the Princeton crew rowing on Carnegie Lake, nice shots of the campus itself and interior shots of McClintock's dorm room and his fraternity (probably along fraternity row on Washington St.). Also includes nice vernacular shots of friends and classmates and his family life. The album is solid and well-preserved to boot, with a clean, sturdy leatherette binding and crisp, clear photos (a number of which are captioned in McClintock's hand) thruout. A nice piece of early 20th century Americana.
