By Robert Nares and printed in Stralsund, Germany by Charles Loeffler. 1825, 912pp, 8.5 x 5.5 , 8vo, 3/4 leather. In fair condition, with scuffing to boards and rubbing to corners and edges. Wear to binding on spine (please reference last photograph). Loss of some leather around head and tail of spine. Title label on spine mostly intact, with chipping to edges and crack down the middle. Hinges are in good condition with minor wear. Text block is sound and in good condition throughout. Small inscriptions on front and back pastedowns. Staining to corners of boards, which bleeds through into the first few and last few pages. General age-related toning and infrequent foxing to pages. An interesting and scarce work, providing definitions and explanations to words that have appeared in notable literary works, including those of Shakespeare.
