ABOUT THIS BOOK: Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen, born in 1845, was a German physicist who made the groundbreaking discovery of X-rays in 1895. His work led to the first Nobel Prize in Physics in 1901. Röntgen's discovery of X-rays had a profound impact on medicine, allowing for non-invasive imaging of the human body.
