The author, a passionate angler himself, provides a detailed account of pike, their nature, habits, and habitat, as well as the best seasons and times of day to catch them. The bookââ â¢s insights are grounded in both the authorââ â¢s own experience and the wisdom of previous fishing treatises, most notably ââ Å"The Compleat Anglerââ  by Izaak Walton. This fascinating work not only details the practical aspects of trolling, but also explores the philosophical and spiritual dimensions of angling, emphasizing the tranquility and self-reflection it affords. The book delves into the long history of fishing for pike, connecting the practice to both biblical stories and the historical development of angling in England. The authorââ â¢s meticulous observations and passionate prose make this book a valuable resource for any angler interested in understanding the intricacies of this ancient art. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
