Original Wraps - Single Claspe. Condition: Fine. First Thus. A 156-page manuscript written by Robert Vincent O'Neil based on Hemingway's For Whom The Bell Tolls. Laid in is a cover letter from film and television producer Sandy Howard to noted agent and producer Paul Kohner, who managed the careers of many stars of Hollywood's Golden Age, including Ingrid Bergman, Greta Garbo, and Maurice Chevalier. Howard suggests John Huston as director, and Sophia Loren for the role of Pilar. The foreword talks about how different the film could be made without the censorship that was prevalent while filming the original. 156-pages, clasp-bound in blue wrappers with the title in silver on the front panel, and the title written across the bottom edge of the pages, in about fine condition.
