Designed to encourage both literacy and moral reflection, the volume groups short fiction into sections such as 'Teen-Agers Today,' 'Science Stories,' 'True Sports Stories,' and 'Suspense and Mystery.' Contributors include S. I. Kishor, Loula Grace Erdman, R. Austin Freeman, H. W. Magee, and Walter Farley (The Black Stallion), among others.
