Light shelf wear and soiling to covers. Describes the "mat-symbols" which was a well defined group of Mayan sculptural and pictorial art. The designs reflect the woven pattern of the Mayan mat. "It appears that the mat and the mat design derived from it were important symbols of power among the ancient Mayas." All books are individually examined and described.
