Add to basketCarolyn Dinan (illustrator). First Printing. Presentation Copy. Signed by the Illustrator to title page, additionally inscribed and signed to Penny, by the illustrator. No jacket as issued. A Fine book with a hint of gentle handling. Stunning illustrations from an often overlooked illustrator. We have another title available from Carolyn, also signed to Penny. Loosely laid-in is a heartfelt letter and a postcard from the illustrator - Carolyn Dinan - to Penny Sibson, clearly a friend and one of Penny's many artists and illustrators that she kept in touch with throughout her years in publishing. We are cataloguing a small capsule of Penny Sibson's large archive. Penny worked in children's publishing alongside many household illustrators and authors from the 60's through to the 90's. Her collection contains original artwork, Christmas cards, letters, and signed dedicated books. Penny kept up a lot of correspondence over the years with her artists and built a fantastic rapport with them, which clearly shows in the heartfelt and friendly letters and postcards she sent and received. Please ask for more information. Cat. No. 00528.
