Robinson in the present volume together with Pennacchi have strongly suggested Thomas of Celano. Rare.

Paul Sabatier, who, while making a sensation, was later placed on the Index. The state of this copy is an offprint from journal The Catholic Mind (likely 1903, inaugural year) and followed by a Second Edition in 1904 published by the Catholic Truth Society. The first appearance seems to have been a 1901 publication in The Messenger. Designated "valuable" by OFM bibliographer Raphael Brown [Omnibus A314]. Any original is wildly scarce.
