Hardcover. Condition: Good. First edition. Illustrated by the Author. Large quarto. Xiv, (2), 254, [2]pp. Line drawings and 15 mounted color plates with printed tissue guards. Original gilt-stamped decorated vellum. This is copy number 6 of 380 numbered copies signed by the author and illustrator, W. Heath Robinson. The front vellum board is particularly scuffed and has a few stains, the ribbon-ties are lacking, an externally fair only copy, but internally fine, and a certain candidate for expert restoration or rebinding. A regrettably flawed but low numbered copy of this children's classic.
