You don't know what you are getting into until you get there. Every call is different. I have the greatest respect for police and firefighters because I have been there, done that, and seen death many ways. But I saved a few lives along the way. I think I did my part in life.This book is dedicated to my wife, children, and grandchildren whom I love all dearly. I am now eighty years old. I took fifty-five years of memories and tried to put in writing the worst of calls to the best of my knowledge, way over ten thousand calls.My wife kept asking when I was going to write a book. I lost three years being her caregiver. I faced death in many ways, and they were all hard to take but nowhere near the death of my wife of fifty-six years. I finally got a chance to complete her wish.I would also like to thank family and friends for all the help through the hard times. She passed on Mother's Day, May 11, 2025, after a downhill struggle with cancer for three years. Life is not normal anymore.Thank you again to all the firefighters and family for making this possible!Special thanks to the police who are now my friends and for their backup when needed!All firefighters and police, paid or volunteer, will go to heaven.
