Uniformly bound in red cloth-covered boards with gilt motif on front panels, gilt lettering on spines. Top edges gilt…. 4to. Cloth is faded over spines, with volume II also faded along top edge on front panel; gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends. Fore and lower text block edges a little spotted and toned. Hint of toning on endpapers. First few leaves of volume two have a mild crease, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Volume one has a previous owner's name pencilled on the front free endpaper.
