He Also Built Up The Largest Surgical Practice In The North Of England By His Skill And Energy. Following Rutherford Morison, Whom He Always Revered As A Master, He Made His Own Notable Contribution To The Great Tradition Of Newcastle Surgery, Which Has Developed Independently Of Both London And Edinburgh. He Carried In His Head An Encyclopaedic Knowledge Of Modern Surgery, Knew Its Makers Personally And Surrounded Himself With Their Photographs And Writings From All Over The World.
