Two softcover journals, 16 and 24 pages; in Dutch; poor condition; all pages of both issues are loose; browned and chipped at edges. As is. The first issue has a cover illustration by Corneille and full page lithographs by Constant, Jan Nieuwenhuys, Karel Appel and Corneille; the second issue has full page lithos by Corneille, Eugene Brands, Antoon Rooskens, and Theo Wolvekamp. The journal only had 2 issues. Foreign shipping may be extra.

Tirage à 300 exemplaires, justifiés à l'encre et avec une large signature de l'artiste. Texte de Constant reproduit en fac-similé en double page centrale.

No legatura. Condition: Buono. Litografia in colore su carta, cm 45 x 60,5 circa (il foglio), in basso a sinistra la tiratura di esemplari 35 / 90, titolo in basso al centro "le chat et l'oiseau", firmata e datata in basso a destra "Rooskens 71" (tutto segnato a lapis). Prova di buona resa iconografica e determinazione artistica. Anton Rooskens (Paesi Bassi, Griendtsveen, 1906 Paesi Bassi, Amsterdam, 1976) è stato un insegnante e pittore autodidatta olandese. Fu uno dei fondatori di un gruppo sperimentale in Olanda, che in seguito divenne il movimento "Cobra". Suoi coetanei nel gruppo Cobra furono Karel Appel e Corneille. Rooskens inizialmente si ancorò a uno stile espressionista, con una chiara influenza ereditata da Vincent van Gogh, ma dal 1945 (dopo essersi trasferito ad Amsterdam) le sue opere divennero più sperimentali, influenzate dalle forme semplici e dirette dell'arte popolare (specialmente le immagini ancestrali dalla Nuova Guinea, dall'Africa e dall'India) e qui egli sviluppò una propria forma di espressione, che si realizzò come un colorato gioco di linee e di forme. In aste italiane (vedi la Capitolium Art) e estere i suoi dipinti sono stati stimati diverse migliaia di euro. Solo un lievissimo ingiallimento marginale della carta, esemplare in buono stato di conservazione. .
