There is an inscription on the free front end page that reads as follows: "To Steve/ with Love/ from/ Uncle John, Aunt Bobbie/ and John Wade/ December 1972/" . It states on the spine that this is the 34th edition. There is some brown toning inside the front and back covers. Pages are clean and fresh, there is no apparent underlining, no highlighting, no bookplates, not ex-libris, no remainder marks, no folded or dogeared pages. A quite nice copy; available for immediate shipment, carefully packed in a sturdy box!

Corners are lightly bumped and there is a chunk missing from the upper corner of the spine and front cover. Grey floral pattern wall-paper type endpapers. Hinge paper in rear has splitting. Previous owner signature on title page. Othewrwise sound and unmarked.856 pages including index. Inexpensive copy of the "Bee Bible".

Book is tight, square, relatively sharp-cornered and free of major flaws or markings inside and out, other than a minor crack to front gutter and an attractive ex-libris plate to inside front cover. Laid-in is a pamphlet, "Bee-Keeping in New Hampshire" by J.R. Hepler, 1948. This is the 31st edition of Ernest Root's expanded edition of his father's 1877 original first edition.
