Additionally, 20 deep casts were taken successfully during the period. This extensive data collection provides insights into the annual temperature and salinity cycles at this location, revealing seasonal patterns influenced by the surrounding environment's interplay. Furthermore, temperature and salinity cycles with periods of 2 to 3 months were observed at depths between 200 and 800 m, suggesting periodic intrusions of warmer, more saline Gulf Stream water.
