L'impianto tipografico ed il marchio in copertin sono i medesimi di quelli della Tipogrfia Capriolo e Massimino dell'anno precedente, edizione, sembra, non conclusa ed uscita poi con la Casa Hoepli. Non abbiamo traccia alcuna, invece, della genesi de "La Romagna", che sicuramente impegnò il Rosetti per un tempo lunghissimo con ricerche laboriose e non sempre facili presso archivi e biblioteche della regione. Sappiamo, per testimonianza del figlio Doro, che nella sua casa di Buenos Aires l'ing. Rosetti conservava un ragguardevole numero di libri di storia romagnola, alcuni anche antichi e molto rari, che servirono per i numerosi saggi monografici che accompagnarono la pubblicazione della sua opera principale."
