Account of feathered phenom who became the star of her own family drama for thousands of Milwaukeeans towards the end of World War Two: a duck who built her nest on a piling of the busiest bridge in the city. A children's book was later written and in 1997 a statue installed in her memory. Stapled pamphlet, aqua cover, black & white titling; as pictured. Heavy wear, creasing, cockling, light stains, cover split at spine and separated from text block. 48 pages, almost every other one a b/w photo. The author, the Journal's Outdoor Editor, is better known for his series of books on duck hunting. Size: 6¼" by 8".
