    Staple Bound Pamphlet. Condition: Fair. Tom Rost, Harris Nowell (illustrator). First Edition. Account of feathered phenom who became the star of her own family drama for thousands of Milwaukeeans towards the end of World War Two: a duck who built her nest on a piling of the busiest bridge in the city. A children's book was later written and in 1997 a statue installed in her memory. Stapled pamphlet, aqua cover, black & white titling; as pictured. Heavy wear, creasing, cockling, light stains, cover split at spine and separated from text block. 48 pages, almost every other one a b/w photo. The author, the Journal's Outdoor Editor, is better known for his series of books on duck hunting. Size: 6¼" by 8".
