Song-and-dance man featured in a couple dozen films of the '30s and '40s such as "Too Many Girls" (1940) and "The Prisoner of Swing" (1938). Early IPS, 8" X 10", n.p., 1934. Very good. Half-length portrait in suit and tie of a very young Le Roy, boldly inscribed at lower left "To 'Jean' / Best wishes / to you / Sincerely / Hal Le Roy / '1934.'" Exceptionally early, for by 1934 Le Roy only had a few film appearances under his belt. Attractive.
